Curator in Residence Open Call

Bazament invites regional & international curators to apply for a two-week research residency in Tirana, Albania.

Taking place between August and September 2026, the residency offers time to explore Tirana’s contemporary art scene through studio visits, conversations, and meetings with local artists and cultural practitioners. During the residency, the selected curator will develop a curatorial concept and select one or more artists for an exhibition to be presented at Bazament during Tirana Art Weekend in November 2026.

What we offer:

• Accommodation in Tirana

• Workspace at Bazament

• Travel support (for Europe-based applicants)

• Curatorial fee (€800)

• Introductions to local artists, cultural practitioners, and institutions

Applications should include:

• CV and short bio

• Portfolio of previous curatorial projects (with a minimum of 2 years of curatorial experience)

• Research proposal (max. 1 page)
