Albe Hamiti is a Kosovar-German artist based in Berlin. In her artistic work, she explores questions of identity, female self positioning, and emotional perception within a societal context.  Hamiti succeeds in sensitively translating her own feelings  and inner states into her work.  By making the personal visible, she gives expression to  experiences shared by many – creating space for a  collective perspective that transcends the individual.  This emotional openness lends her work a striking depth – her pieces resonate through honesty, vulnerability, and strength.

“60,000 Thoughts – Which One of Them Is Mine” by Albe Hamiti, realized in collaboration with Bazament Art Space, is a work that emerges from personal experience and reads it as a symptom of a collective condition. The unceasing stream of thoughts arising from what appears to be an exceptional psychological state is not understood here as an individual deviation, but rather as an expression of an internalized order in which external demands and inner experience become indistinguishable. The work raises the question of to whom our thoughts belong when the boundary between inner experience and external expectations increasingly dissolves. In this overlap, not only is orientation lost, but also mental autonomy – the ability to pause, to differentiate, and to resist. By making this inner state visible, the work addresses the loss of inner space as a political dimension: where access to one’s own thinking becomes fragile, self-determination and agency come under pressure.

In collaboration with Bazament Art Space, an ongoing process of collecting thoughts is initiated, in which individual contributions become part of a collective presence. This collaboration contributes to the continuous expansion of the work.
