Imazhet e vdekjes pyesin qenien. Ky pyetësim nuk kalon dialektikisht nga jeta, por lëviz nga vdjekja te koha si pahu i qenies. Qenia del në pah nëpërmjet kohës. Në imazhe koha sekreton të vërtetën e vet. Sa më shumë kohë të tkurrë brenda tij, aq më i vërtetë sekreti që imazhi mbart, aq më poetike gjuha e tij. Sekrecionet e kohës janë avujt e vdekjes që mbështjellin çdo objekt, peizash a njeri. Nekrografitë si imazhe të kohshme kapturojnë kohësitë e vdekjes në vënde, vegjetalë, kafshë dhe njerëz, duke na dhënë kësisoj një klimë të vdekjes, ose një përfytyrim të vdekjes jo më si kusht antropologjik por si gjendje atmosferike. E megjithatë punimet e dy artisteve Abi Shehu dhe Gerta Xhaferaj, nuk na mbështjellin me pesimizëm për jetën. Krejt në të kundërt, ato na përthithin në një estetikë mortore të fuqishme prej nga bulëzojnë afekte nga

më të gjallat.

“necrography”

The images of death bare the ontological question, the question about being. This questioning is not a dialectical transition between life and death, but a movement from death to time as the radical opening of being. In images time secretes its own truth. The more time is shrunken within an image, the more real the secret that the image carries, the more poetic its language. Necrographies as temporal images capture the temporalities of death in places, plants, animals and people, thus giving us a climate of death, or an image of death no longer represented as an anthropological condition but as an atmospheric situation. And yet the works of the two artists, Abi Shehu and Gerta Xhaferaj, do not envelop us with pessimism about life. On the contrary, they absorb us into a powerful mortuary aesthetics from which the most vivid affections erupt.
