32 sixty-nine / 32 gjashtëdhjetëenëntë

Bazament is pleased to present “32 Sixty-Nine”, a solo exhibition of the work of Irgin Sena.
For his new installation at Bazament, Sena has created a space of suspense, contemplation, and speculation through the interplay of visual and conceptual cues. Ideas of repositioning, omission, disruption, and delay permeate his works, pushing viewers into an acute state of attentiveness.
His works are composed of distinct elements that repeat, interrupt, and leak within and between pieces. A series of angularly shaped objects culminates in folded drawings and collages, each presenting a maze of shifting visual and conceptual associations where personal experience, current events, and the everyday coexist.
In addition to the suspense felt in the installation, the perception of time, the momentary, and the void after an (failed) event are essential elements of the space. Here, Sena creates a score, a track and a timeline for the work, as one would do in music. His work explores the process of selecting what to see from what we merely look at.

Irgin Sena was born in Albania and lives/works in New York. He has a MFA from Hunter College. In 2008 and 2012-13 he was an artist in residency at International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP), (NY).
In 2012 he was awarded the MARIAN NETTER Award, in 2007 the (ARDHJE Award for Contemporary Art). ). Sena has exhibited his works widely, including at Prospectif Cinéma, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Multiplicity, New York; EFA Project Space, New York; the International Moscow Biennial for Young Art; the 3rd Tirana Biennial; Invisible-Exports, New York; Mixed Greens Gallery, New York; the National Gallery of Arts, Tirana; Haus am Lützowplatz, Berlin; the National Gallery of Kosova, Prishtina; and Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe, among many others.

Bazament ka kënaqësinë të paraqesë artistin Irgin Sena me ekspozitën e tij personale ‘’32 gjashtëdhjetëenëntë ".
Në instalacionin e ri për Bazament, Sena krijon një hapësirë të pezullit, soditjes dhe spekulimit nëpërmjet ndërveprimit të përçuesve vizualë dhe konceptualë. Veprat e tij përshkohen nga idetë e rivendosjes, heqjes, çrregullimit dhe vonesës, çfarë përfton kushtet e vëmendjes së shikuesit.
Ato përbëhen nga elemente të spikatura, që përsëriten, ndërpresin dhe japin e marrin mes tyre, brenda dhe ndërmjet punëve. Një radhë sendesh në forma këndore kulmon me vizatime / kolazhe të palosura, secili paraqitës i një labirinti përafrish pamore dhe konceptuale të ndryshueshme, ku bashkëjetojnë përvoja personale, ngjarjet aktuale dhe e përditshmja.
Pezullit i shtohet perceptimi i kohës, i momenteve dhe zbrazëtisë pas një ngjarje (të dështuar). Sena krijon një partiturë, një gjurmë, një vijë kohore për punën, ashtu siç veprohet në muzikë.
Puna e tij lidhet me mënyrën se si zgjedhim çfarë të shohim kundrejt asaj çfarë thjesht kemi përpara syve.

Irgin Sena ka lindur në Shqipëri dhe jeton/punon në Nju Jork. Ai ka një MFA nga Hunter College. Në 2008 dhe 2012-13 ishte artist në rezidencë në International Studio dhe Programi Curatorial (ISCP), (NY).
Në vitin 2012 ai u nderua me Çmimin MARIAN NETTER, në vitin 2007 (Çmimi ARDHJE për Art Bashkëkohor, Tiranë). Sena ka ekspozuar gjerësisht duke përfshirë, Prospectif Cinéma, Qendra Georges Pompidou, Paris, Francë Multiplicity, New York; EFA Project Space, New York, Bienalja Ndërkombëtare e Moskës për Artin e Ri në (Moskë) Bienalja e Tiranës, edicioni 3. Invisible Exports Gallery (NY), në Fresh Window Gallery (Brooklyn NY), në Mixed Greens Gallery (NY), në Galerinë Kombëtare të Arteve në (Tiranë); në House am Lutzowplatz në (Berlin), dhe në Badischer-Kunstverein në Karlsruhe, (Gjermani), midis të tjerash.
